Corporate Overview

SWELLFIX zonal isolation system
SWELLFIX is the technology leader in swelling elastomers, a new and dynamic solution for zonal isolation and inflow control in horizontal and vertical wells. Zonal isolation and inflow control are required to prevent the cross-flow of fluids between geological layers and to reduce the volume of produced water. It is important in these circumstances to achieve the best possible seal between reservoirs.
Traditionally, oil well cement is used for zonal isolation in wells but there are serious disadvantages to this solution. Alternatively, straddle liners with External Casing Packers are often used in certain circumstances.
The entry of swellable elastomers into the market offers a better, cheaper and more successful solution.
Swellfix, along with Sensornet and Well Technology of Norway, is a member of the Tendeka family of companies, each of which supplies specialised technology products that offer reliable, field-proven solutions to specific oilfield challenges.
The Tendeka family of companies employs over 100 people across a network of 18 regional bases, strategically located in key energy hubs including the North Sea, Middle East, North America, South America and Asia-Pacific. The backing of a strong parent company gives our customers the assurance of established processes and solid organisational support on a global scale, while we provide customised, ‘on the ground’ expertise.
